Edgewood Animal Clinic is a one doctor, small animal practice.  Dr. Rebecca Golatzki is a 1990 graduate of Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine.  She purchased the clinic in August of 1991 from the previous owner, Dr. Kevin Monce.  Dr. Golatzki is a Northern Kentucky native, having grown up in Bellevue and Fort Wright.  She was a graduate of Scott High School.  As you might expect, she is an avid animal lover and maintains a houseful of pets.  Training and competing with her shelties takes up most of her spare time.  Dr. Golatzki has 30 years of experience as a trainer in addition to her years of veterinary experience, and has titled dogs in obedience, agility, herding, rally, nosework, and is working on that first tracking title (both current dogs tracking certified).  She taught was was probably the first “clicker training” class based on positive reinforcement in the Cincinnati area back in the early 90s.

Our clinic is truly a small and personal office;  we’re likely to recognize you and your pet and call you by name when you come through the door.  We understand how important your pets are to you, because we feel the same way about our own!  (You may notice most of the photos on the website are of our personal pets, some of whom you may recognize from your visits.  Forgive us for bragging, but we’re just as crazy about them as you are about yours!).

Although we are small and focus on personalized care, we offer a full range of services including wellness care, surgery, and dentistry.  We are also lucky enough to live in an area with a wide range of specialists available.  Veterinary internists, surgeons, ophthalmologist, cardiologist, and dermatologists are all available just a short drive away should your pet need specialized care.
